Donald Trump is a psychopath with characteristics of malignant narcissism and borderline personality disorder. His psychopathy is further exacerbated by progressive dementia. His worldview is severely compromised by the combination of his underlying psychopathy and the overlay of his dementia. Suggesting that Trump’s disordered thinking is based on a logical framework that might be subjected to an ethical analysis is completely inappropriate. I am generally in nearly complete agreement with your erudite and well-founded writings. But, on this topic I believe that the foundation of your argument is seriously flawed. In my opinion your underlying premise that Trump’s worldview is somehow based on a coherent philosophy rather than a psychopathic delusion is grossly erroneous. Thus the subsequent analysis is doomed at the outset.
Trumpism isn't ethical because Trump is not ethical. All you have to do is give Trump a shiny little bauble and he's your bitch. (Witkoff too apparently and the rest of Trump's minions as well)As we have seen the entire last few months in the middle east was simply to get the Qataris to agree to a golf club, probably the way the Trump org wanted the deal to go through. Trump was using Israel as leverage. He doesn't give a crap about Israel, Gaza or anything that doesn't bring him money.
Tell me how is it ethical to get back 1 living hostage when there are probably at least 21 left? (I am thrilled that Idan is home) If Trump was a real man he would have demanded all of them for negotiating directly with Hamas but he didn't. He thinks he's some kind of hero because Idan is an American.
Read that again, the President of the US had instructed his negotiators to give a barbaric terrorist organization the honor of US recognition.
But no, just getting the American back doesn't make you a savior. When you are the most powerful man in the world you need to act like it. Trump should have demanded all the living hostages for talking directly to Hamas. But Qatar told them not to. Qatar which is the financier of Hamas is pulling the strings and has Trump by his balls.
This is what happens when everyone on the American side is a Qatari shill. They have sold the country to Islamist antisemitic homophobic misogynist slavers the same way Harvard and elite universities have sold our academies.
I am so disgusted. How do you call any of what has been happening ethical on any level?
I found this very interesting. I will freely admit that I have not been one to give Trump or his Trumpies any credit for a framework or coherent philosophy. So this gives me food for thought.
One quick thought, based on the comments. I think this article could benefit from a definition of the words "ethic" and "ethical". Ethic, as its own word, just means a belief or set of beliefs that one follows. Ethical, as its own word, also has no specific meaning of righteousness, but the colloquial meaning of ethical certainly does. For instance, I agree with EKB that Trump is an unethical person, but one can follow an unethical ethic. (I know that sounds strange) And I agree with Gary that Trump himself has almost certainly not conducted anything resembling an ethical analysis of his thoughts and political philosophy, but one need not do that to adhere to a defined ethic (ethical or not)
Interesting article ! The subject triggers strong (often emotional) reactions which may distract readers from context. It's clearly written that the definition of this ethical philosophy is based on adherents views. Reading the disclaimer is indispensable 😁.
How can we access your AI tool ?
Recently I've tested Duckduckgo's AI chat tool about historical information on the origins of the Arab Israeli conflict. It managed to list some historical events with a subtile bias, which subsided when asking more specific questions on its information sources. It stated that all data was provided by general sources on the web and by "human trainers". It stated having no access to direct sources and actual news. About October 7th it stated that it had not been updated since October 2023. That shocked me.
Both human and AI responses do depend on the questions that are asked.
Questioning sensitive matters may need more serious attention, introspection and thoughtful formulation.
Expressing opinions seem to have priority nowadays.

Megalomania as seen by the Pope Trump post. I’m completely turned off Trump.
